Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's Bahamas Getaway for Thanksgiving
Trump daughters Ivanka and Jared went on a Thanksgiving getaway to a more exotic location than their father's traditional Mar-a-Lago bash. With their children in tow, the power couple chose the Bahamian island of Baha Mar for their vacation. It was unexpected that they would celebrate at their newly refurbished $24 million Miami estate rather than at the Palm Beach bash.
The Baha Mar resort has all the facilities the family could want during their tropical getaway, and Ivanka showed off her surfing abilities on a FlowRider while wearing a chic lavender one-piece with cutouts at the wave pool. She posted a funny video to Instagram along with laughing emojis, seemingly unfazed by her wipeout.
It appeared, though, that not every part of their Bahamian holiday was delightful. While waiting in line for tacos on the beach, on each side of their Secret Service protection, the couple appeared expressionless to onlookers. The line was "ridiculously slow," according to the insider, but Ivanka and Jared showed remarkable humility by waiting their time, despite being in the spotlight.
Lex Fridman, a Russian-American podcaster from MIT, visited them at their Miami estate as they continued their Thanksgiving party. Fridman thanked Ivanka, Jared, and their families for spending the holidays with them in a social media post. Among the many unexpected Thanksgiving traditions was the showing of Francis Ford Coppola's legendary film, "The Godfather."
Even though Ivanka's rep didn't comment on the family's taco adventure, it seems like their Thanksgiving getaway was filled with tropical relaxation, laughter, and a little bit of movie nostalgia.
