Some athletes rocked up to the gym one day and could tuck planche on the first try.
Most of us are not like this. Most of us have to actually work hard, build specific strength, tendon stability and coordination to succeed with this calisthenics skill.

The main issue that I am seeing is that many consider the tuck planche as a beginner calisthenics skill. If you are reading this today and you are not able to tuck planche yet than the tuck planche should not be your immediate next goal. Have a look at the video where I break down progressions allowing you to move towards your goal at a level where training is effective, fruitful and safe. The goal of training through progressions is to be able to do something new every or at least every other week. No more plateuas!

The tuck planche is unique compared to other planches as it aims to be the easiest one through compression. Often overlooked is the small detail that this compression will automatically help you with protraction and in general correct alignment and technique. No matter which goal you are chasing. The tuck planche is never something that should be skipped. Get to work!
