Health & Safety Policy – Company Overview

Okay, so I'm just gonna show you guys. Uh, this is for Magic Mechanical. This is a client and this is their health and safety policy. So I'll read it, but you don't have to watch the whole video. You can take this and paste it if you want, but Magic Mechanical is committed to a health and safety system that protects our workers, others, including contracted employers who enter onto our property and the public.
The employers, supervisors, and workers at every level are responsible and accountable for the company's health and safety performance. Active participation by everyone every day, and every job is necessary for the health and safety excellence that this company expects. Health and safety excellence includes the promotion and maintenance of the highest degree of physical, psychological, and social wellbeing of all employees.
Our goal is a healthy, safe, and injury-free workplace for all workers. By working together, we can achieve this goal. The employer will ensure the health, safety and welfare of workers at the work site, the health, safety, and welfare of other persons at or near the site who may be affected by hazards originating from the work site.
Workers are aware of their OHS rights and duties. Workers are not subjected to or participate in harassment or violence at the work site. Workers are supervised by a person who is competent and familiar with the OHS ACT regulations and code. If work is to be done that may endanger a worker that the work is done by a competent worker or by a worker who is working under direct supervision of a worker who is competent.
The HSC slash HSR complies with legislative duties. Health and safety concerns are resolved in a timely manner. Supervisors and workers are adequately trained for the protection of health and safety at the work site. That information related to hazards, controls, practices, procedures, and current OHS legislation is readily available.
Supervisors will ensure the workers under the supervisor work in accordance with procedures and measures required by the OHS Act regulations and code. That workers are not subjected to participate in harassment or violence at the work site, that all precautions necessary are taken to protect the health and safety of every worker under their supervision, to advise every worker under their supervision of all known or reasonable foreseeable hazards to health and safety in the area where the worker is performing work to report to the employer concerns about an unsafe, harmful work site, act, or condition that occurs and exists, or has occurred and existed.
Workers will protect the health and safety of themselves and other people at or near the work site. Cooperate with their employer, supervisor, other workers, and other employees to protect the health and safety of themselves and others. Use and wear devices and per personal protective equipment required by the employer or the OHS Act regulation or code re refrain from causing or participating in harassment or violence.
Report concerns about an unsafe or harmful work site, act, or condition that occurs and exists, or has occurred or existed to the employer or supervisor, participate in training provided by Magic, magic Mechanical, and only perform work when deemed competent or under direct supervision. In addition, employer supervis supervising workers will cooperate with any person exercising a duty poised by the OHS ACT regulations or code, and comply with the OHS ACT regulation and code.
And any site policies, procedures, and codes of practice, other workers, including contract employers, SU suppliers or service providers will comply with the OHX ACT regulation and code and work site policies and procedures. Employees at every level must be familiar with the requirements of the Alberta OHS legislation as it relates to their work.
So I've emailed this, or you can also do this. It's just email this to your staff. Um. I'm not sure if it's overkill, but I'm, I'm having everybody sign this and date it, and I just want to really make sure that we have this documented so that when audits come by, we've checked off, um, more than enough basis.
