Dr. David Stoker, board-certified plastic surgeon, Los Angeles. Today we have a beautiful example of the rapid recovery breast augmentation technique and a revision operation. I'd love to share the details of the case with you. She's a gorgeous 29-year-old woman who years earlier had 371 cc moderate profile implants placed through inframammary incisions. Over time, because she has a narrower chest, it's curved steeply. The smooth implants can sometimes slide to the side somewhat. In which case, the patient loses that medial fullness that she was seeking. That was her case as well. Simultaneously, she decided that she would prefer to have larger implants as well, so our plan was to remove those 371 cc implants and replace them with implants at least one cup sizer, somewhere in the 500 CC plus range.

In the operating room, after removing those older implants from the inframammary incisions, I opened up the capsule or the pocket immediately. That allowed the implant room to slide closer to the midline and give her more fullness in this area, which was her number one objective. The other thing I did is I tightened the pocket laterally so there was nowhere else for that implant to go. I used moderate profile 575 cc implants of the cohesive silicone gel variety, the best in the market. I replaced inframammary incision, enclosed it, and finished the procedure using my rapid recovery technique. We were able to achieve the increase in size and the increase in fullness by bumping up the implants and reorienting their position closer to the midline. It looks gorgeous and accomplished her goal. This is a prominent example, the L.A. Natural work, where a patient had implants already but felt that they weren't positioned in the optimal area.

We repositioned those implants to accomplish her goals, and we did it all using our rapid recovery technique.
