US President Donald Trump warned his patience with Russia’s President Vladimir Putin is “running out fast” after failed peace talks in Alaska and Russia’s drones crossed into Polish airspace in a major act of provocation. Speaking to Fox News, Trump lamented that repeated deadlines and diplomatic efforts have not led to results, and signaled possible tougher sanctions and tariffs on Russian oil and financial institutions if Putin doesn't act soon. Despite refusing to impose immediate penalties, Trump stressed that “we will need to come down very, very strong” if Moscow doesn’t change course, and urged G7 allies to ramp up pressure. The ongoing standoff comes amid Russia intensifying its campaign in Ukraine and launching joint military drills with Belarus as peace negotiations pause.
