This recording, SPF-001 is the first ever filmed ICBM launch. It flew above kerbin at roughly 50,000 metres then came back crashing into the planet.
This launch was performed before the start of the log, the rocket consisted of 2 rows of 6 metal poles meant to disintegrate as chaffs once entering the atmosphere. Cameras were installed on these poles and were recovered after they had landed in the sea. We believe at this point that the atmosphere stops at 40,000 metres, since at this altitude, the G forces seems to increase rapidly.

This ICBM crossed 1/7 of Kerbin's surface. Unfortunately, unable to hit our enemies. Yet.
It's trajectory will be perfected, and soon we will be able to protect our borders by menacing the UKS with threats of ICBMs, too!
