Panic gripped Bengaluru’s Banashankari 3rd Stage on Sunday night after a gang of around 10 youths armed with rods and machetes carried out a violent attack on a man and vandalised a car, an incident captured on CCTV.

According to police, the attack stemmed from an internal dispute involving a man identified as Basheer. The assailants arrived at the spot in a car and on several bikes, spotted Basheer seated inside a vehicle, and began smashing the car’s windows before assaulting him.

Basheer sustained bleeding injuries to his face and other parts of the body and was later taken for medical treatment. The incident occurred between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm on Katriguppe Main Road, under the limits of the CK Achukattu Police Station.
