Healthy peatlands are vital in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss - they store a huge amount of carbon and provide sanctuary for some of Scotland's most unique fauna and flora.

Over time, these precious habitats have become damaged and degraded, drying out and releasing CO2 into the atmosphere.
Work is now underway to reverse this trend and make peatlands function as they should.

We teamed up with Cairngorms Nature, Wildland Ltd & McGowan Ltd to tell the story of innovative restoration works at Glen Tromie estate in the Cairngorms National Park.
