So here we have it. A fan-made horror game based off the ever popular ‪@chiknnuggit‬. Honestly I'm all for the idea not just because I am a fan of Chikn Nuggit but also because it makes sense considering how much horror came out of it ever since Iscream joined the party. And it was made by ‪@EpicTagey‬. The same insanely talented person who gave us FNAW high rollers and FNAW cabin fever. Having someone who is skilled at this and is remastering High rollers and Cabin fever gives me hope and thankfully he does NOT dissapoint in this 3 night long demo! (Technically 4 if you count the tutorial)
The graphics look really good and I like how some words are misspeled like in a Chikn Nuggit video. The jumpscares on the other hand can range from actually scary (Evil Fwnch Fwy, Chee and Iscream) to being too funny to take seriously (Chikn, Fwench Fwy and Cofi). Honestly I hope the more dumb ones don't get removed because I actually enjoy them. I also like how the game refrences actual episodes from Chikn Nuggit but also throws in some refrences to other FNAF fan-games like Five Nights At Wario's and One Night At Flumpty's. Also the memes scattered around got me laughing NGL.
Presentation wise the cutscenes so far are animated nicely though I am lost as to who you play as. The game does not make it clear who you're playing as since in the tutorial night you see some paws but you don't really know who you are actually playing as. The only way to know is if you let the furnace run out of fuel which you'd have to intentionally let it run out if you wanted to see it.
The audio is pretty clear and sounds really good but the gameplay is kinda mixed for the demo.
The game plays like a traditional FNAF fan-game but the tutorial night introduces you to every office mechanic without putting you in any danger! Now THAT is smart!
You have cameras like usual however these ones are flawed since you cannot scroll them with your mouse as instead the game automatically does it. This makes tracking characters way harder due to the fact you have no control over them.
The mask functions like it does in FNAF 2 and the door functions like how it does in FNAC where the longer it stays shut the more power it drains.
There's a furnace which acts as a power box of sorts as you need to fuel it nuggets to keep it from going dark but it leaves you vulnerable to the other characters and I also like how EpicTagey went to the extra mile of animating a cutscene for if you fail and the furnace actually runs out. It's a nice touch.
Character-wise only 5 characters show up in the demo.
Chikn starts in the void but he teleports around the house. When he appears outside your office you need to close the door until he leaves or else he prevents you from fueling the furnace.
Chee will start in the bedroom and make her way to your office. You need to put on the mask when she arrives at your office to make her go away. However the catch is that she is stealthy and if she gets scared too many times Chikn will be alerted and appear next to your door. It makes a boring character have more potential as a result.
Iscream will draw a ritual circle in his room and you need to dechiper the scroll in the furnace room and then use it in his room before he summons someone right on top of you. Iscream is by far the biggest diffrence between life and death since he can alter where other characters can appear.
Fwench Fwy flies through your office once she reaches Cam 9 and you need to wear the mask until she leaves through the vent. However she can grant 2 wishes that you need to avoid with your cursor or else she does her best omae wa mou shindeiru impression on you. She also has an evil form which is activated if she is summoned by him. In evil mode she holds nothing back and attacks you from the door and the vent before unleashing a wish on you.
After finishing a night you earn a nuggit which acts as currency of sorts. The demo lets you unlock 4 items which I bought (Except for the among us reference for obvious reasons) and they decorate your office which I think is a nice reward but Bezel might have earned the dishonor of being my least favorite character in the game. It may seem fine with him running a shop and being the clock but his events feel forced into the standard gameplay. I honestly wish they were exclusive to an endless mode or the custom night challenges in all hoenstly.
Overall this is a really good game that has huge potential!
