My PS5 controller suddenly stopped connecting, and it was so frustrating. I tried a few things step by step, and finally got it working again. In this video, I’ll walk you through exactly what I did, so you can fix it too.

First, I checked the charging cable. A lot of times the issue is just the cable not working properly. Then I completely powered off my PS5 and unplugged it for a minute. That simple reset can clear small glitches.

When it still didn’t connect, I used the tiny reset button at the back of the controller. After pressing it, I plugged the controller in with the cable and hit the PS button — and it finally paired again.

For some people, updating the controller software in Settings Accessories Controllers can also solve the problem. And if you’re using it with Bluetooth on another device, just hold the PS and Create button together until the light starts flashing, then pair it.

These are the same steps I used to fix mine, and they worked perfectly. Try them one by one, and you should be able to get your PS5 controller connected again.
