by 2017 a new upcoming American science fiction crime film based on the same name Ghost in the Shell a live action movie, will be lead by Scarlett Johansson as The Major (Motoko Kusanagi).

hmmm...lets wait and see if the new Live Action-Ghost in the Shell, which is a one of the best Japanese Animation/Film during 90's, if Johansson's character will retain her Japanese Name.
