Taking Cooking food back to basics.

Ingredients
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage
1 carrot, grated
1 stick celery, finely chopped
1/4 cup green beans, finely chopped
1/2 lb (225g) minced beef - I USED already-cooked beef
1/2 cup cooked barley or rice (optional)
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons cornflour (cornstarch) mixed with 4 tablespoons water

2 pkts spring roll wrapper
Egg wash
Oil for frying

If you want to make the wrapper - - Wrappers
2 cups (250g) all-purpose/plain flour
1/2 cup (125ml) water
1/4 cup (60ml) vegetable oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
Gradually add the water and vegetable oil, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth and elastic, about 5 minutes.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions. Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it into a thin rectangle or square, approximately 6 inches (15 cm) on each side. Thank you. Best, Rik
