Sky News host James Morrow has slammed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz over claims he served in Afghanistan which he “didn’t do”.

US Vice-President Kamala Harris this week named Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate for the 2024 US presidential election.

“Now there’s also word coming out that he claimed a rank he didn’t have in the National Guard and claimed service in Afghanistan that he didn’t do during the Global War on Terror,” Mr Morrow told Sky News Australia.

“Now people are saying, who is this guy? Clearly, the thing is that they didn’t check him out … they needed a candidate, and they thought let’s just put the 60-year-old goofy white guy in to balance the ticket.”
