ProFusion Expo. Hosted by Vistek in Toronto at the MTCC (Metro Toronto Convention Centre), is Canada's largest convention for photographers and videographers from professionals to hobbyists and enthusiasts. In attendance are the industry's biggest players. From camera manufacturers like Canon, Sony, Nikon, and FujiFilm. To lens manufactures like Tameron, Sigma, and Laowa. Emerging players like DJI and Insta360. With accessory and support vendors like Neewar, Smallrig, Atamos, AngleBird, and Apurture. And as you'd expect, an event like this also attracts industry big names. Some invited as speakers like Gerald Undone, Chris Hau, Raph Nogal, Simon d’Entremont, and so many more. Again, full list of presenters at profusionexpo.com for your perusing.

I went and met Simon Yates from the Ordinary Filmmaker at the Canon booth. I got to see the newly announced Canon EOS R6iii (or markIII if you prefer that prefix), tried the new RF 45mm F1.2 STM, and finally got to try the RF 200-800mm F6.3-9 IS USM. I saw some of the cutest little instant cameras at the FujiFilm with their Instax series, including a Mario themed protective case for their mobile photo printer. Sigma put me in a position of considering their RFS 17-40mm DC Art lens to replace my older legendary 18-35mm DC Art. DJI wouldn't/couldn't comment on rumored or soon-to-be-released products like the Neo2 or working on an Osmo360 II. But they did show off their Neo with an indoor flight demo. Insta360s AntiGravity drone introduced me to the most trippy experience with their 360 FPV drone.

I was barely able to chip the top of the iceberg of this event, what I saw, wanted to see or dive more into, and wanted to walk away with. So grab a coffee...theres a lot to unpack! And to think, there could have been more if I stayed longer.
