AI will transform wireless connectivity by improving performance, boosting capacity and minimizing energy consumption. But before those gains can be realized, we need to solve the challenge of interoperability. In a multivendor world, different networks and different devices all utilize different AI systems. These AI systems need to coordinate with one another, otherwise they will work at cross purposes. Qualcomm and Nokia have overcome this interoperability issue by utilizing an AI/ML technology called sequential training.
