Stage 3 of Breast Cancer

Dr. Lauren Carcas, Medical Oncologist with Miami Cancer Institute, explains a stage 3 tumor is when there are tumor cells moving into the lymph nodes. It is an advanced stage cancer that will increase its risk to spread throughout the body.

She says tumor cells are all different, they can respond differently and be fed differently. She also points out once the tumor cells get past the lymph nodes, there is an increased risk that they spread and enter into stage 4 disease. *************************************************************************************
