Review: The Storm of Steel

Audio post of our review for Ernst Jünger's The Storm of Steel (1929; Mystery Grove, 2020).

First published in 1920, Ernst Jünger famously depicts the brutal trench warfare of WWI in his visceral memoir. This review focuses on the work itself, with some comparisons between the Penguin translation done by Michael Hofmann and the original 1929 Creighton translation now available through Mystery Grove.
