In this 3Ds Max & tyFlow VFX Tutorial I'll show you how to use a few condition operators to trigger a gradual mesh growth. We're basically giving birth to some particles along the surface of the cube, then telling them to turn into a mesh based on a property test set to "neighbors". By using the Particle Groups operator, we only activate neighbors in a specific simulation group. tyMesher is then applied to the activated particles & some simple Vray materials and lighting is added for a final "virus growth" style visual effect.
