Product Spotlight: Unity FAST Red Dot Optic Mounts

Описание к видео Product Spotlight: Unity FAST Red Dot Optic Mounts

Caleb pulls a fast one on us today, and that's OK because he wants to bring Unity to our lives. He tells us about the FAST™ optic mounts from Unity Tactical. These are high-quality machined aluminum mounts with a very smooth, uniform, hard-anodized finish. The locking bracket and bolts that clamp the mount to your rifle's M1913 Picatinny rail are made of steel. These are exceptionally strong, sturdy mounts that could be used to illustrate the dictionary definition of "rock solid."

Some FAST mounts come with a handy backup iron sight (BUIS) built right into the base. Check out the mount for the Trijicon MRO red dot sight on Caleb's "Gray Ghost" rifle. The FAST MRO 's backup notch lines up with an A2-height AR-15 front sight. Bonus: Nothing to flip up, so this BUIS is always ready to go.

The FAST mount for Aimpoint Micro red dots has both front and rear backup sights built into it. The sight radius is pretty short, so if your rifle has an A2 front sight, you can remove the FAST front sight and use the rifle's. In order to accommodate these backup sights, the optic sits higher, so you can't co-witness it with the backup sights. But remember what we said about the backups being "always deployed." The Aimpoint Duty red dot has a larger base, so Unity couldn't work backup sights into their FAST mount for it.

A hole in each FAST mount base accepts the quick-release QD Auto-Lock™ Lever made by American Defense Mfg. (ADM). So if you need QD capability, it's an option for you.

The Unity Tactical FAST mounts position the red dot sight a little higher over the receiver than other mounts. That's a real benefit for the many folks who prefer to shoot with a higher, more "heads-up" posture, especially when using night vision.
