There has been so much wrong with Destiny 2 and Bungie's handling of the game recently, but the biggest issue seems to be involving eververse. The community has started its #RemoveEververse movement, so I add in my 2 cents, on how Bungie can maybe fix this mess.

Hey what’s going on guys? So by now many of you have seen my last video, about why I’m done with destiny 2, and In that video I talked about a lot of differences between destiny 1 and destiny 2, to try and explain why I think Destiny 2 is so disappointing, as well as stated that I am done playing and spending money on the game , I will continue to make videos on it, as I love the universe of destiny, but for right now I am boycotting the game. But, one part I left out in my last video, is the ever growing eververse controversy. I’m sure most of you know what eververse is in destiny 2, but on the off chance you don’t know what it is, well its basically bungie and activision’s form of microtransactions and loot crates. You can earn bright engrams from the eververse whenever you level up, where you will then be given random loot, out of a ever growing pile of rewards. Now when I first started playing destiny 2, I never imagined that this whole ordeal, would blowup like it has. Recently its been the most trending news topic for destiny, as well as one of the most trending topics in gaming. This is in large part due to several xp scandals, that bungie tried to implement behind players backs, as well as the anger and uproar, over how a lot of the cool and unique loot from the Curse of Osiris DLC, as well as the dawning event, are mostly eververse items, if not based on eververse entirely.
So it is easy to see why fans and players are so frustrated with the game, and why many are now demanding, that eververse get taken out of the game entirely. Now while I don’t think eververse will be taken out, I do think it should receive some heavy modifications to the way it handles loot and items. This almost now seems like bungie/activision have backed themselves into an EA/Dice scenario with loot boxes.
....
The only reason I don’t think eververse has reached battlefront 2 levels of uproar yet, is because battlefront 2’s loot boxes ruined the core feedback loop of the game, by implementing the progression and power system with randomized drops, while in Destiny 2 all the items are cosmetic based. But Eververse is beginning to have as many items as the rest of the game’s normal loot pool, meaning its less fun to get drops, and there is less loot to acquire in those drops. To me, and I’m sure many others out there, even though this is “cosmetic” stuff, it has an impact on how it feels to play Destiny 2, and not for the better. Ok, now my main focus of this next part of the video, is to talk about how bungie could at least fix this controversial issue, while also adding more to the base game for players to do, effectively knocking out two birds with one stone.
Ok, well there you have it. As you can see, putting a lot of these items in the regular loot pool, as well as making them obtainable through fun and challenging quest and story missions, would allow us the players, to have dozens of hours of new objectives to do, that have both meaning and incentives, as well as allow bungie to give players valuable rewards, encourage players to try new parts of the game, and put this issue behind us, and show that they are ready to start proving to the community, that they care about us and want us to continue playing and enjoying their game.
Now before you ask If I think this will actually happen, no, no I don’t, but I feel like this is the best case scenario for bungie right now, and the whole eververse issue. Sooner or later, they need to think about the players, over purely revenue, because at the rate they are going right now, there won’t be anyone left.
