How to Read a Lead Sheet | Beginning Guitar

A lead sheet gives you just the bare bones of a song: melody, chords, and lyrics. As a guitar player, you’re going to see a LOT of lead sheets, and the sooner you learn how to follow one, the better off you’ll be. In this lesson, I’ll show you how to read a lead sheet as both a chord player and a melody player.
