This asset pack contains motion-captured (Noitom Perception Neuron 3) realistic animations including rapier, sidesword and shield techniques, general sword actions, interactions with tables and chairs, from our video game project Fortune Favours the Bold, for general public use. It is available for purchase for Unreal Engine 4.27 and 5.3 on Epic Unreal Engine Marketplace.

List of assets included:

- 31 rapier animations including various thrusts, cuts, parry, riposte and action combos from motion captures that follow 16th and 17th century rapier treatises, using a realistically-weighted sharp rapier recreated from a late 16th century original housed at Metropolitan Museum;

- 13 sword and shield animations including historically accurate and realistic attacks and defensive maneuvers that utilize the shield the provide active cover for both the torso and the sword arm during offense, from motion captures that follow historical sword and shield/buckler treatises, using a realistically-weighted sharp recreation of a 13th century arming sword, and a realistically-weighted steel buckler.

- 5 sword-related actions including inspecting the edges, sharpening the edges, examining the blade, general flourish, and reading the blade to assume a fencing stance;

- 3 motion-captured animations interacting with a table--best for strategizing actions;

- 11 motion-captured animations interacting with a chair, including sitting down, sitting in multiple postures to express the stances, and performing various gestures;

- Mesh, material, and texture of a late 16th century Milanese rapier with Norman Type 72 hilt composed of a mushroom shaped pommel chased with vertical ribs and grooves. This model is provided by the Oakeshott Institute by 3d-scanning a genuine antique in their collection, with the Creative Commons Attribution license. If you decide to incorporate this model or transform it in any way, you are obligated to attribute credits to the Oakeshott Institute;

- Mesh, material and texture of an early 16th century Venetian Infantry Sidesword modeled by leeeck, with the Creative Commons Attribution license. If you decide to incorporate this model or transform it in any way, you are obligated to attribute credits to leeeck;

- Mesh, material, and texture of the Parade Shield of King Erik XIV of Sweden, provided by The Royal Armoury (Livrustkammaren) by 3d-scanning the authentic artifact in their collection, with the Creative Commons Attribution license. If you decide to incorporate this model or transform it in any way, you are obligated to attribute credits to The Royal Armoury (Livrustkammaren);

- Mesh, material, and texture of a wooden table with marble inlaid top from Rome, Italy. Now located in Medieval & Renaissance (Room 62), The Victoria and Albert Museum, London. The model is provided by artfletch licensed under Creative Commons Attribution. If you decide to incorporate this model or transform it in any way, you are obligated to attribute credits to artfletch;

- Mesh, material, and texture of a chair modeled by eucocker licensed under Creative Commons Attribution. If you decide to incorporate this model or transform it in any way, you are obligated to attribute credits to eucocker;
Mesh, material and texture of an anatomically correct human model to showcase all the animations in this pack.
