Race Recap: 🇮🇩 The 2022 MotoGP Indonesia Grand Prix was held right after the 2022 MotoGP Grand Prix of Qatar, on April 2022. It was first appearance for Indonesia Grand Prix since 1997 (that race was held at Sentul Grand Prix Circuit). In that race, the now 9-times World Champion, Marc Marquez, who was riding for Repsol Honda in 2022 and 2023, was absent after he suffered a near fatal crash at Warm-Up session, while Travelling at 225kph. On Sunday, it was one of the rain specialists, Miguel Oliveira (now riding for Prima Pramac Yamaha Racing in 2025 before swapping to BMW SBK Team next year to replace Toprak Razgatlioglu), stole the headlines. Qualified 4th, Oliveira was unstoppable in the wet Mandalika Circuit, despite losing the lead to Jack Miller on lap 7 (was riding for Ducati in 2022, now Oliveira's teammate at Prima Pramac racing Yamaha in 2025). The main highlight of this race was the frenzy battle further back involving 7 Riders, most notably, Darryn Binder (on 2020 Spec RNF Racing Yamaha alongside Andrea Dovizioso), who somehow claimed his only ever top 10 finish in his whole MotoGP career, before returned to Moto2 ever since 2023. Miguel Oliveira dominated that race followed by Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 champion, and Jack Miller who completed the podium in the first ever MotoGP race at Mandalika.
