Bishop Mosa Sono:
Quench not the Spirit but fan into flame
1 Thessalonians 5:19

Don’t extinguish or put out the Spirit of God. The Holy Spirit will try to lead and guide us into certain activities. In our individual lives there are things that the Holy Spirit wants to prompt us into so anything that will dampen the spirit and render us cold in our service to God, we will regard that as quenching the Spirit.
Instead of quenching the Spirit, in 2 Timothy 1:6 Paul encourages Timothy to stir up the gift of God in him.
The word stir means to kindle up/ cause to burn the gift of God.
We shouldn’t slack and cool off when it comes to the things of God, we should be getting stronger and more passionate even though the outer man is perishing but the inner man is renewed day by day.
Spiritually we get younger and stronger.
