Indian Security Forces achieved a major breakthrough in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kishtwar region, eliminating seven terrorists linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad under Operation Trashi-1.

Among those neutralised was top Jaish commander Saifullah, believed to be involved in multiple attacks across the Doda-Kishtwar belt.

The operation was launched on January 14 following precise intelligence inputs about terrorist hideouts in dense forest terrain. Contact was established on January 18, leading to a prolonged and coordinated encounter that ended with all seven terrorists eliminated.

The joint mission was carried out by the Indian Army’s White Knight Corps, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force.

Officials described it as a textbook example of seamless coordination — from ground forces to top command — with zero casualties among security personnel.

In a courageous act, Army sniffer dog Tyson was injured during the operation while confirming terrorist presence. He has been airlifted to an Army hospital and is reported to be stable.

Security forces recovered multiple AK-47 rifles and war-like stores. Area domination and sanitisation operations continue.

Operation Trashi-1 is being seen as a significant blow to terror infrastructure in the region.
