Following the Bi-Annual March Against Monsanto and a Requiem for Bees, The Toronto Non-GMO Coalition hosted the first Toronto GMO-Free Festival & Farmers’ Market. Find A Way (www.findaway.ca) and the Made in Toronto Festival (www.mintff.org) were the exclusive sound and staging providers for the event and also assisted in the development and programming of the festival.

From 12-6pm on May 24th, 2014, nearly a thousand citizens gathered at Christie Pits Park to learn and educate themselves about GMOs and explore alternatives to the industrial food system. It featured great high-profile speakers, entertaining musicians, info tables on crucial health and environmental issues, and a wide variety of non-GMO munchies to sample or purchase.
