Fishing on the South Chain of Lakes in Winter Haven FL

I hope this video finds you healthy, wealthy and wise. Or just having a good day. As I search for new fishing spots and trying out a new reel. A Lews Reactor Speed Spool mounted to a 6'6" Lews Speed Stick with Medium action. It is not an expensive reel, but I am quite impressed with it. I am looking for a good worm reel but in a baitcaster. I can cast it 40 to 50 yards with 14lb fluorocarbon on it. I have several baitcasters and some good ones as well. Lews KVD, Abu Garcia, Johnny Morris Carbonlite, 13 Fishing and a Bass Pro Shop reel.

The first spot is calling for a from or creature bait and a swimming jig, but I was working a worm. I don't know what is going on with my hook sets but I have missed quite a few the last couple of days. Thank God I have still be catching some though. I just hate missing a good bite, and especially multiple bites.

The best fish today was a 3lber. I will take it. I had to cut and run after catching it, rain clouds were coming in and I made it back to the marina with like 5 minutes to spare. It was really coming down too.
