This webinar focuses on the importance of heirs’ property and estate planning—key issues that can prevent families from keeping or passing down their homes. Without a clear title or estate plan in place, homeowners risk losing access to loss mitigation, FEMA assistance, and other essential resources.

The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) joined us for this webinar to highlight how housing counselors can help families understand the importance of estate planning, identify challenges related to heirs’ property early, and connect clients with trusted legal and community resources. We also heard from a housing counseling agency that is partnering with LISC, which has worked to put this work into practice.
