Taurus Pvt Ltd, a Bengaluru-based trailblazer in special purpose machine SPM engineering, is showcasing its latest innovation, the TFC-1000V vertical facing and centering machine, which is causing a fair bit of excitement in the automotive industry and precision engineering circles. R Prabhakar, Director & Business Head, Taurus Pvt Ltd, went on to explain about this key exhibit calling it “a robust solution for precision machining of long components.”

Designed to handle jobs with lengths up to 1000 mm and diameters between 20 to 100 mm, the TFC-1000V is equipped with four BT40 spindles—two on either side—for synchronized face milling and center drilling. “The machine comes with an option to upgrade to a BT50 spindle, allowing face milling up to 160 mm,” explained Prabhakar. “What sets this apart is the heavy duty clamping system with self-centralizing alignment, which ensures consistent accuracy for critical components like cam shafts, crank shafts, and transmission shafts.”

With Fanuc CNC controls, VFD-driven 5.5 kW induction motors, and automation ready features, the TFC-1000V fits seamlessly into the advanced manufacturing bill. TFC-1000V is perfectly aligned to cater to the demand profile of the Chennai market, which is a regional hub for the automotive and engineering industry.
