Larry: H.J. was his nickname, Hyman Joseph was his full name - Hyman Joseph Feldman. They called him H.J. as he got older. But in those days, he was a plumber's assistant to a group of Irish Chicago plumbers. He had no place to stay, no money in his pocket, but they sort of unofficially adopted him.
