Brăila este reședința județului cu același nume, având o populație de 154,686.
Compania de transport se numește Braicar, operând în prezent cu tramvaie și autobuze.
Rețeaua de tramvai a fost inaugrată în anul 1900, în prezent având o lungime de 22,7 kilometri, 2 depouri și 3 trasee.
Flota actuală este compusă din noile tramvaie Astra Autentic, cumpărate în anii 2023 și 2024. În prezent există 3 trasee: 21 și 22. Linia de tramvai 25 circulă doar în timpul verii și face legătura cu Lacul Sărat. În prezent, în anumite zone din oraș au loc lucrări de modernizare cu fonduri europene.
Flota de autobuze este mixtă, deoarece circulă autobuze de diferite categorii. În prezent, flota de autobuze este alcătuită din: BMC Probus, Graf Steyr, circulă doar la primul schimb și un singur exemplar, Volvo Hess, un exemplar, Isuzu Novocity, Isuzu CityBus, NovoCity și Citiport, Karsan Atak și Jest, BMC NovoCity, Volvo Hess și noile autobuze ZTE Granton.
În prezent există 14 trasee de autobuz, conectând diferite puncte ale orașului.
Din păcate, atât traseele, cât și stațiile nu apar pe Google Maps.

Brăila is the city of the county of the same name, with a population of 154,686.
The transport company is called Braicar, currently operating trams and buses.
The tram network was inaugurated in 1900, currently having a length of 22.7 kilometers, 2 depots and 3 routes.
The current fleet is composed of the new Astra Autentic trams, purchased in 2023 and 2024. There are currently 3 routes: 21 and 22. Tram line 25 runs only during the summer and connects to Lacul Sărat. Currently, modernization works are taking place in certain areas of the city with European funds.
The bus fleet is mixed, as buses of different categories circulate. Currently, the bus fleet consists of: BMC Probus, Graf Steyr, only runs on the first shift and a single copy, Volvo Hess, one copy, Isuzu Novocity, Isuzu CityBus, NovoCity and Citiport, Karsan Atak and Jest, BMC NovoCity, Volvo Hess and the new ZTE Granton buses.
There are currently 14 bus routes, connecting different points of the city.
Unfortunately, both the routes and the stops do not appear on Google Maps.
