Firstly, the speaker is well constructed. The grill is metal and has either a rubber or silicone trim, so the speaker won't move around when playing music loudly. The controls are pretty music straight forward. The power/bluetooth are the same button and volume is plus sign for up and minus for down. The play/pause button also acts as answer call. It was easy connecting to my android phone. I held the bluetooth button down for about 3 seconds and tapped bluetooth search on my phone and the speaker popped up. When I played music for the first time I did get startle because I wasn't expecting the speaker to be that loud. Even at the speaker loudest, the speaker produce audio that was clear.
The bass that's produce by this speaker isn't muddy and/or distorted, however the speaker doesn't have deep bass that can rattle windows. The highs and mids are very noticeable. This is an all around good speaker.
The video added to this review is only for people to get an idea how the speaker sounds. Keep in mind I recorded music on my phone then uploaded to Amazon, so the audio could sound little muddy and/or distorted here and there. I'm not saying it's better or equal to a "Beats Pill", but if someone is looking for a speaker to play nice music around the house, backyard or the beach for the fraction of the cost of Beats or Bose this is definitely a nice pick up.

Note: I didn't test its waterproof capability, however the flap covering aux and usb connecters is secure once closed.
