Moondive is a music group from Surabaya, East Java which was formed in 2018. It consists of four members Dwinanda (Vocals/Guitar), Alva (Bassist), Dimas (Guitarist) and Haekal (Drummer). The formation of Moondive began when Alva Surya invited Nanda Fadhlan who was a friend of his department at campus to form a band that aimed to just fill one of the events belonging to the ITS Music Student Activity Unit (Musik ITS) at that time. Shortly after that they both agreed to form a band and invited Haekal who is also a member of ITS Music to join in filling the drum position, followed by a jam session at the studio of the ITS Music UKM. With different musical influences, the three of them agreed to appear at the Musgath (Music Gathering) event at that time with the concept as an Instrumental band with the Alternative-Rock genre. Several times the practice at that time felt like something was lacking with the instrumental concept and made Nanda the guitarist appointed to be the vocalist with the condition that at that time he never sang. Unexpectedly, there was a lot of good response from friends after playing on the Musgath stage and made the three of them agree to continue this band. As time went on, the three of them invited Dimas Eryzal, who at that time was also the guitarist of RaraRizal, to fill the second guitar position.
