In Polynesia, there are two main seasons : the hot and humid season from November to April and the cold and dry season from May to October. Due to the tropical climate, the rains tend to get heavy and torrential. ⛈

Meet Teuira and his father in early November as they are getting ready to fix their roof to cope with the storms. To do so, they rely on the coconut palm tree. While its fruits provide food and drink, its leaves and tree bark are enough to build a waterproof shelter! 🏝
