2020 est un long métrage qui aborde avec humour les peurs, les excès et les réactions que beaucoup ont connues au début de la pandémie.
Lorsque la COVID-19 se propage et terrorise le monde entier, Max et Gelu décident de ne pas tomber malades, à tout prix. Les deux frères testent alors toutes les méthodes possibles — même les plus étranges — pour se protéger du virus. Entre rumeurs, faux conseils et théories pseudo-scientifiques, chacun se prend pour un expert en immunité. Max et Gelu décident de tout expérimenter sur eux-mêmes, jusqu’à l’absurde.

Two brothers, Max and Gelu, are determined to survive C-19 as the pandemic sweeps across Italy. Fleeing the country, they return to what they believe will be the safety of their small village in Romania.
No matter the cost, the brothers are determined to make themselves immune, testing every half-baked and often dangerous cure spread by fake news, conspiracy theorists, neighbours, friends, and a local quack doctor. As they endure a self-inflicted living hell, they believe victory is assured — except they have forgotten one thing from which no immunity exists: the Italian Mafia.
