This video discusses the concept of principal components analysis and how it is applied to reduce dimensionality. It is a highly simplified discussion with minimal mathematical content and no diagrams in the hope of travelling light. We apply PCA to the coronavirus data on worldometers.info . The analysis is for illustrating the concept and is not covered in any particular detail. The bias is on the Linear Algebra side of things.
I will do another series of simplified lectures to cover the theoretical parts that are behind PCA and with a little more math.
PCA is also applicable to many other situations in machine learning and data analytics and I will do some videos on that as well.
