A short comparison of the self noise levels of the Zoom H6 x/y and mid-side capsules. It's finally getting pretty warm here in Finland. It got pretty dark towards the end, but soon there'll be enough light even during night time for photography.

I personally like the mid-side better, but I find it to be rather noisy.

I also realize that the H6 is not intended as a super quiet nature recording tool, but rather as a pretty awesome musician's companion. I've never had any problems recording instruments with either of the capsules.
