This body of Water is Man- Made : Artificial Lake Technology(Documentary)

A dam is a barrier that stops or restricts the flow of water while the reservoirs created by the dam is a lake ( A body of water surrounded by land).
This videos is about the creation of dams in Northern Nigeria from streams and river which are used to store water and other uses. The Dams and lake are constructed just like roads and bridges are constructed using advanced technology to control flood and also distribute water to other cities .
I visited Tiga dam and Challawa Gorge dam in Kano state Nigeria primarily used for the storage of water and irrigation projects.
Kainji dam the biggest dam is Nigeria is also used as a reference point.
Asides the big Lakes In Northern Nigeria constructed by foreign Engineering Companies, the northern part of Nigeria is also filled with other smaller lakes built by locals and are use to store water during the dry season, for controlled fish farming and for irrigation of farmlands. This is due to the low amount of Rainfall in the Region.
