In Hanoi, it’s not unusual to see street vendors selling homemade products from bicycles. I found out that this kind Auntie sells one of my favorite things in the city, so I decided I needed to make an unneeded morning meal purchase. ;)

Banh Gio is a local Hanoi meal that is very popular and can be found fairly easily if you know where to look for it.

The rice cake & sausage sandwich is a really tasty and fun thing to eat. Even for people like me who aren’t big fans of sausage in general.

These street vendors are some of the hardest working people in Vietnam. They tend to be from the older generation of citizens, and are a good reminder of what life was like even a couple of generations ago. They provide unique scenes and insight into our culture. I love it!
