UFR Inspect - Automated Infrastructure Inspection

Описание к видео UFR Inspect - Automated Infrastructure Inspection

BHP Prominent Hill was looking to automate its infrastructure inspection task to ensure early detection of any faults that could potentially lead to disruption of operations. The inspection task is currently performed manually by crews, which takes up a lot of shifts across already resource-constrained teams.

Enter Universal Field Robots and our robot library, which includes an ATV platform pre-equipped with our UFR autonomy package. We selected this platform as it can travel long distances and has adequate payload capacity for all the additional sensors required for the inspection task. We also leveraged a lot of the autonomous driving development we had done with the underground haul truck, further accelerating the project timeline. We are excited to use new technology, including Starlink Mobility, which provides comms well outside typical cellular networks.

UFR Inspect will soon proceed to on-site testing at Prominent Hill to push the limits of what can be achieved with early detection of infrastructure damage.

Future-facing applications of this solution include other consistent, long-range inspection or delivery tasks, including topography scanning in solar farm construction.
