Wednesday, May 25, 2022, a few hours before my dad’s cardiac arrest. We decided to visit the Diborrato Falls in Tuscany, close to Siena, Italy. While my sister and mom were taking some pictures next to the waterfall, my dad and I decided to walk the trial along all the cascades and the crystal clear water. I remember that moment perfectly, it was beautiful, it was a lot of fun and something my dad loved to do! I took many pictures and videos of the moment, and I am so glad I did.

After all that happened, we were stuck in Italy for 2 weeks, we didn't want to go home without our dad. We had trouble finding places to sleep, but after a few days we found an apartment we could rent close to the hospital. We were not allowed to be in the hospital much so we were stuck in the apartment not wanting to go anywhere, we lived with a lot of cluelessness and we were so scared. Strange but true, locked in the room I could express all my emotions in my music. I made song after song while I had tears on my cheeks. Those songs meant so much to me and brought me back to the last day I spent with him next to all those cascades.

"Cascades" is the name of the album I released with all these songs I made in Italy while my dad was in a coma. Songs that take me back to the last beautiful moments I spent with my best friend. The titles of the songs were names he gave me during his final months, I put them in a list to use someday and he couldn't wait for me to finally use them. Padré, this one is for you, with all the love I have for you.
