February 10th is designated as "Drive Your Triumph Day" in honour of Sir John Black, the man who oversaw the Standard Motor Company's purchase of the Triumph Motor Company, near the end of WWII, in 1945.
Standard-Triumph, and later British-Leyland, went on to create the now classic cars motoring enthusiasts still enjoy driving to this day.
