From 1967 onwards, Moridaira and its Morris brand earned a reputation for crafting instruments inspired by classic Martin and Gibson designs, but with their own refined Japanese build quality. By the mid-70s, these guitars were admired for their tonewoods, meticulous finishing, and exceptional resonance — qualities often compared to their American counterparts.
