The Great Mosque of Samarra (Iraq, built around 847) - This mosque, located in Samarra, Iraq, is famous for its impressive spiral minaret, called the Malwiya Minaret, which measures approximately 52 meters in height. It was built during the Abbasid period and represents a remarkable example of Islamic architecture of that era.

Tatev Monastery (Armenia, founded in 895) - Tatev Monastery, located in the mountains of southern Armenia, is an important religious and cultural center. It is famous for its panoramic view of the Vorotan Gorge and for housing one of the oldest Armenian universities.

The Palace of Aachen (Germany, built in the 9th century) - Also known as the Palace of Aachen, this palace was the main residence of Charlemagne, King of the Franks and Emperor of the West. It was built in the 790s and was the center of power of the Carolingian Empire. Today it is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The Monastery of St. Gall (Switzerland, founded around 720, but the main buildings constructed in the 9th century) - Founded by Saint Othmar, the Monastery of St. Gall in Switzerland is an exceptionally well-preserved example of Carolingian architecture. It included a church, a library, quarters for monks and other facilities.
