Katie Sunshine's Slinky Hoop Tutorial

Описание к видео Katie Sunshine's Slinky Hoop Tutorial

This is one of my favorite tricks to save for the end of a performance!
Maybe the hardest part of this trick is getting your hands on a slinky hoop. I made my own slinky hoop with 20 30" HDPE hoops. I used 5/8" HDPE tubing so the hoops would be skinnier and it would easier to squeeze more onto my core. I chose HDPE tubing because it's lightweight like polypro tubing, but a little less expensive. I taped all the hoops with different colored mirror tape (definitely the most time-consuming part of the entire process!) then tied the hoop together with 50 lb. fishing line.
If you're going to try to make your own slinky hoop, you MUST use heavy fishing line. Lightweight line will snap and break the first time you swing your hoops around. Connecting the hoops with fishing line is what gives you that tornado-like "slinky" effect. Otherwise your hoops will start spinning at different speeds in one giant clump around your waist.
