High blood pressure is the most common cardiovascular disease with serious health implications. While it is a condition that usually has no symptoms, undiagnosed it can cause serious damage to arteries and the heart, brain, and kidneys, and it is the leading cause of stroke. This talk focuses on diagnosis and treatment of hypertension and discusses new research and clinical studies that are ongoing, and which will have important outcomes for our knowledge and treatment of high blood pressure.
