Cervical health is a part of sexual health. In honor of Cervical Health Awareness Month in January, we talked to actress and activist Alysia Reiner and gynecological surgeon and pelvic pain specialist Karen Tang, MD, about how to take care of your cervical health and prevent cervical cancer. From HPV vaccination to regular cervical cancer screening, we have the tools to eliminate cervical cancer. We discuss these tools, as well as what to expect with exams and treatment, how to talk to your health care provider and make your exam more comfortable, and why sex is a healthy activity.
