Ballyhass Learn To Wakeboard Progression Series 2019 With David O Caoimh Wakeboarder.

We are pumped to launch our latest tutorial video series. This time we are attempting to answer the question we hear by far the most. "What do I learn next?"

This series consists of 4 videos that will hopefully answer that question for almost every rider short of professional level.

Trick Tips

1) Backside Boardslide
Heelside Approach
One hand on handle in front of body
Board 90 degrees to rail

2) Frontside Lipslide
Toeside Approach
One Hand on handle in front of body
Board 90 degrees to rail

3) Backside Lipslide
Heelside Approach- Front hand on handle behind hips
Rotate hips 90 degrees towards handle- weight on one leg
Head and Chest up- Looking forwards over front shoulder

4) Frontside Boardslide
Toeside Approach - Front hand on handle low behind hips
Rotate hips 90 degrees towards handle - weight on one leg
Head and chest up - Looking forward over front shoulder

5) Backside Boardslide - 270 blind out
Near end of rail - start rotating handle behind back
Look over back shoulder and rotate hips around towards handle
Land with chest up, knees bent and handle behind back


6) Backside Lipslide - Handle pass 270 out
Near end of rail - pass handle to back hand
Look over back shoulder
Pull handle around to front hip again


7) 270 - Back Lip
Toeside approach - little boost off of safety ramp
Pass handle to back hand and rotate behind hips
Turn hips to handle and look forwards over shoulder

8) 270- Front Board
Heelside approach - little boost off safety ramp
Pass handle to back hand and rotate behind hips
Turn hips to handle until board is 90 degrees to rail- look forwards

9) Nose Press
Handle in front hand- in line with shoulder
Weight on front leg- lean shoulder over nose of board
Push down on handle and keep chest up straight

10) 180 - Tail Press
Boost 180 degrees off safety- pass handle to back hand
Land with weight on back leg- use handle for balance
Keep chest up- sit into press as much as possible
