The Lon Lon Ranch is the second in the series of still photography cosplay photo sets by The Zelda Project. On top of the crew driving around 500 miles round trip, the model for Link trained in western horseback riding for six months, the photos were shot over the course of a two day period, a custom costume for the horse was made to look like Epona, the model for Malon sustained a head injury and had to visit the E.R., and the backgrounds for the final images were composited and constructed using a combination of existing backgrounds, and Photoshop elements by the talented digital matte painter Mickael Forrett.

Just for a little info, Anthony had not ridden a horse in almost a year since he had been training, so his skills were very rusty. He had refused to practice before the shoot, so this is the reason why it seems difficult for him. Also, the "paint" that Epona is being painted with is "Shapley's Show Touchup" which is an equine spray in hair color.
