Reimagining the Curb: A Rework of NACTO [National Association of City Transportation Officials]’s Design

This presentation will provide an overview of the five different facets of curbside management as well as their components and importance: core, critical, progressive, technology, and future. Additionally, the group will provide a real street example of ideal curbside management following these guidelines.
The Anthem: Public Space Permit Policy

In collaboration with DDOT, this group compiled a comprehensive case study of the processes and associated challenges The Anthem encounters when obtaining Public Space Permits for additional loading space. For large venues, the permit notification requirements for reserving public space for commercial loading is tedious and burdensome, so the group developed recommendations for how the process can be improved.
Tysons Urban Center Curbside Management

This group partnered with Fairfax County Department of Transportation on implementing managed parking to ensure that Tysons curbsides and streets work for all users. They gathered data and integrated local planning regulations with stakeholder perspectives to provide recommendations for making Tysons a livable and walkable urban space.
Expanding ADA Parking in DC: The Central Business District as a Case Study Synopsis

The Future of Electric Vehicle Charging in the District of Columbia

This presentation will first provide an overview of the current state of EV charging in the District. The group will then discuss how charging infrastructure can be equitably expanded and offer some guidance on where to locate future charging stations.
